Need help: Turkey - 3000 grafts & 4500€
I’m new here and finally managed to save money for the HT. Or at least I thought I did. I’m from EU and plan to go to Turkey but reading all the redsit topics regarding best clinics and watching prices went up crazy in recent years, I am afrad, I am too short for best Turkey doctors.
Can you please, please recommend anyone or even a mill, that is good and reliable.
This burden is killing me for years and I just need to do this.

€4,500 for 3,000 grafts works out to €1.50 per graft. That’s on the lower end compared to what the best hair transplant doctors in Turkey charge.

A few more respected ht doctors can be added list, but that doesn’t change the price range. Good surgeons in Turkey charge around €2 to €4 per graft.
At that budget, €4,500 for 3,000 grafts, he’ll highly likely end up at a hair mill in Turkey somewhere that takes on a lot of patients with no surgeon involvement. He’d be gambling with his scalp and results. Overharvesting and poor graft survival could leave him with a patchy donor area and much less coverage than expected.
He’d be better off saving a bit more, even if that means putting surgery off for another year or two, and going to a reputable clinic.
It’s a pretty common story. A young guy is stressed about losing his hair and doesn’t have much money so takes a gamble on a cheap hair mill in Turkey. He ends up as just another head in clinic with rushed technicians doing the work. Once the surgery is done there’s no accountability and no post op care.
If it goes badly the fallout can be devastating with several repair procedures and costs far beyond what he originally hoped to save.
Not every hair transplant surgeon can fix a botched job either. A few specialize in complex repairs and the bill can hit $30k or more. That mean removing poorly placed grafts one by one and replacing them. That kind of work can take days. Getting a hair transplant done sooner and for less money isn’t worth ending up in that situation.
Examples donor areas getting overharvested at cheap hair transplant clinics. This can happen when technicians bounce between rooms trying to finish the day’s surgeries, without a surgeon who knows how to manage the donor area conservatively.
